YOUR ROLE:

As Head Chef you will have full autonomy over all menu’s which include….

Our restaurant’s casual dining offering, including Breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner

· Castle weddings and events up to 120 attendees

· Our Woodland events area up to 150 attendees

· Marquee events up to 400 attendees

· Outside catering and events

In close contact with our front of house team, you will be able to plan, prepare and deliver events to an excellent standard, with organization and composure. Including, identifying equipment requirements, staffing and food ordering.

You will have good knowledge of food Gross Profits and how to achieve company targets, alongside an interest in current food trends.

You must be able to recruit, manage and organise your kitchen brigade effectively to ensure smooth delivery of the company’s food offerings, at the same time maintaining a set department wage percentage.

You will be able to liaise with suppliers to gain best price and product options…including food, equipment and disposables.

You will have the ability to foresee any potential problems that may arise in the day-to-day delivery of our operation and provide solutions for such.

You must have a good working knowledge of nutrition, allergens and H&S regulations and standards.

You must be able to maintain a positive and professional approach with customers and co-workers alike.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience at a Head/Executive chef level, their own transport due to our location, an approachable, professional and positive personality and overall, a ‘can do’ attitude.

Experience:

Head Chef: 5 years (preferred)

The role is to support the various departments within the business and carry out ad-hoc jobs as required. This could be assisting guest with luggage, helping set up one of the many events we host, or supporting colleagues in other departments. This is a hands-on role managing our guest’s expectations and ensuring the standards of the hotel are maintained. It will be a varied role with no two days being the same.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the smooth flow of all day-to-day operations within the hotel.

You will be responsible for maintaining standards and inspiring and motivating the team to deliver bespoke guest service in accordance with our ethos and policies. You will ensure a smooth 4-star guest journey from arrival to departure by exceeding guests’ expectations, whilst identifying and maximising all sales opportunities and ensuring your team are developed to do the same.

You will create and implement standard operating procedures to be adhered to across all departments, ensuring performance is managed effectively at all levels. Be the standards ambassador for all areas of the hotel ensuring we deliver the very best to our guests at all times.

You will ensure the smooth running of weddings and events to the highest standard, ensuring all aspects of the clients needs and expectations are met and exceeded.

Finally, you will support departments to effectively recruit and develop teams and individuals and ensure a culture of team engagement and service excellence is always adhered to.
