We had our wedding at Hazlewood Castle in September and it was the perfect day. The venue is gorgeous and we had a beautiful garden/marquee wedding. It’s risky to do in the UK so it was nice to have the castle as a backup in case of rain but luckily it stayed dry.
Our wedding coordinator Melissa was incredible throughout the planning of the wedding. So very supportive and patiently answered the millions of questions we had, she provided great suggestions and was on top of everything. Wedding planning can be stressful but the team are so experienced and professional that it seemed like a breeze. We had Kash as our day of coordinator and he was great, if there were any hiccups we never heard about it! Also the bridal suite was spacious and we were really well looked after throughout.

We had our daughter's wedding at HAZLEWOOD CASTLE on August 15-16, Year 2025.

This is a beautiful, classy, historic venue, which has been around for 800 years !
The guests were wowed by the approach through the woodland, and the imposing Castle.
The greatest asset to the Hotel is its staff, they were so polite, courteous, and looked after our every need.

We were incredibly impressed by the way every member of staff worked with such calm, always ready with a smile and a solution. It made the whole experience smooth, joyful, and nearly :) stress-free for which is a rare and wonderful thing during such important occasions.

Me and my (now) husband got married at the outdoor venue here in April.

We had the most beautiful day. Everything was perfect and stress free. The staff was there before I even knew I needed them they were amazing! It was according to guest (and us of course) the best wedding they have been to.

The wedding coordinator took care of every little detail and I love her for that (thank you, kelly) !

I would highly recommend here for an outdoor wedding ours was in the woodland so everything was only steps away no need for a second location. Thank you to all the staff and Kelly for making our day that extra special.

We chose Hazlewood Castle's woodland ve ue for our wedding and couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we booked, staff were helpful and attentive, making sure we felt looked after all the way through. The coordinating team on the day were incredible, even going above and beyond to assist a visitng cousin with a car mishap. The whole wedding ran smoothly, and I could not recomend the team enough.

The woodland was beautiful and cosy, in spite of some rain, and all our guest agreed it was a delightful place to be.

We had our sons wedding here on the 27th December and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok. The food was amazing and the rooms were excellent. There was nothing to complain about whatsoever. Thank you to everyone at Hazlewood .

We had our wedding here on the begging of December. The best choice we have made to hold our wedding in Hazelwood Castle. Fantastic venue, Melissa, Liz and the team is super helpful and organised! Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for you all to make our special day perfect!!

Pre- wedding planning communications for the venue was excellent. Had first contact with the wedding planner in January 2022 to arrange a date to view the venue to discuss our winter themed wedding.
Our first meeting formed a excellent impression of the operational procedures of the venue, as the wedding planner was professional and they all worked to a high standard with regards to planningThis was to ensure they provided the best service for the customer.
We had no concerns that the wedding would not run smoothly as the planning element was excellent. We had many meetings in person and through Zoom to ensure everything was correct.

Wedding day- The operational aspect of this run smoothly and the Wedding coordinators were excellent. They ensured everything run to the pre- scheduled plan for the day . They went above and beyond , to ensure everything was excellent and magical for our special day.

The venue and staff- The venue is perfect for a winter themed wedding , the images do not show how splendid it is. The staff were friendly and helpful and the environment had a welcoming atmosphere.

Food - Excellent, and all the guests commented on the food .

Overall- Excellent, no improvements required .
Everyone’s comments were positive and everyone enjoyed the wedding.

Hazlewood castle was our wedding venue and from beginning to end we had the most amazing experience with Hazlewood Castle as our venue.
Kelly was our Co-ordinator and there really wasn't anything she couldn't do for us. She was so friendly, approachable and made us feel like we could chat to her at any time.

The venue was always a stand out location for us and we fell in love with it at first sight, any possible doubts we could have had were gone when we met the amazing staff. Every single staff member was so helpful and professional, we ended up booking a few nights in the hotel and treatments at the spa as we were always looking for a reason to come back!

On the day of the wedding Lis and Max were just outstanding, their commitment to making sure everything ran smoothly was noticed not just by us but by all our guests. There was never a moment where I had any concerns (this coming from someone who is not very good at handing over control!) as they were always there reassuring us and double checking every detail.

Every one of our guests was blown away by the food and the service, with many saying it was the best they had ever had at a wedding. While we had excess of 80 guests, everyone felt treated like an individual and as if their meal had been prepared for them especially. The bar staff worked tirelessly throughout the day and were always making sure everyone was catered for while maintaining effortless professionalism and a friendly smile throughout.

We were so pleased to see all our guests were as wowed by the venue as we were when we first saw it. As fans of the historical, it was a dream to get married in a castle. Our guests were all keen to explore and all who booked a room were very impressed.

Whilst I know that this venue runs many beautiful weddings through the year, we never once felt like just a number, or just another event to churn out. We were made to feel special and as if we were the only wedding in the world. I put this down entirely to the staff. The team at Hazlewood are held in our highest regards and have our endless gratitude for all the service the delivered on our every visit on the lead up to the wedding, and for giving us the most magical day of our lives. We truly cannot thank them all enough!

We had our wedding at Hazlewood Castle last Saturday and it was the best day of our lives! The care and attention we received from everyone at Hazlewood Castle made our experience even better and all of our guests have mentioned what a lovely venue it was! We celebrated our wedding at Hazlewood Castle on 30th March 2024 and it was the most magical day of our lives.

We have had countless correspondence with wedding coordinator Kelly, who has been so supportive since we booked in December 2021. Nothing was ever too much for Kelly and she listened to everything we wanted and with the help of our suppliers completely brought our vision to life.

The Wedding Managers on the day were fantastic. We were lucky enough to see Kelly but throughout the day was supported by Lucia who was incredible. She made us both feel so calm, was really patient with us and made us feel really special. In the evening this switched to Ella who was also just fabulous! She even had a little dance with us in the evening which I really enjoyed and showed the personality of the staff in such as positive way. All the staff of Hazlewood were on excellent form and it was just such a beautiful day, we can’t thank everyone enough.

The bedrooms where me and my husband stayed were recently decorated and looked great! Breakfast was really lovely and well enjoyed by our guests.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing but also comes with a supportive, polite and thoroughly organised team, look no further than Hazlewood Castle. We can’t wait to come back on our anniversary every year! Thank you so much!!

Just returned from a 3 day stay for my daughter's wedding! I can categorically highly recommend a visit here not only because the castle itself and grounds are spectacular! Each member of staff we came into contact with was helpful, kind, courteous and honestly went the extra extra mile for us!

They couldn't have been better from the room attendants to the waiters, ' the receptionists to the bar staff and managers! You were first class by any standards!
